From the start, Unity Health Care has been committed to serving the health needs of our communities.
What can I access with MyChart?
You can use the patient portal to manage appointments (schedule, eCheck-In, join video visits, cancel, view upcoming or past visits, and get waitlist offers and preventive care reminders), message your care team for medical advice or prescription requests, and access your health records (medications, test results, immunizations, admissions, referrals, and more).You can also view and pay bills, set up payment plans or paperless billing, request financial assistance, and download or request release of your medical record and more.
When can I see my test results in MyChart?
You can view your lab and test results in MyChart as soon as they are available. Your provider receives the results at the same time, so you may see them before your provider has reviewed them. For common lab tests, we provide reference information to help you better understand your results. If any concerns arise, your care team will follow up with you directly.
What if some of my health information in MyChart is incorrect?
MyChart is a reflection of your electronic medical record at Unity Health Care. If something doesn’t look right, please let your provider know during your next visit. You can also update your personal and contact information directly within your MyChart account.
Is there a fee to use MyChart?
No. MyChart is a free service offered to all Unity Health Care patients.
How do I sign up for MyChart?
Signing up is quick and easy:
▪ During a Visit: Ask for an activation code at the front desk.
▪ Online: See the section above and click “Sign up with your code” or “Enroll in Self-Sign Up.”
My activation code doesn’t work. What should I do?
Activation codes expire for your protection. If your code has expired, you can still self-enroll online. For help, call our MyChart Support Line at 202-292-5920
I forgot my MyChart password. What should I do?
Click “Forgot Password” on the MyChart login page to reset your password securely.
Can I link my Unity MyChart account to other providers?
Yes! To link accounts:
Log in to your Unity Health Care MyChart, Click Menu, Search for “Link My Accounts”, Follow the prompts to connect with other MyChart-enabled healthcare organizations.
How do I manage my MyChart notifications?
You can choose how you receive updates—text, email, or phone—by adjusting your notification settings in your MyChart account. These messages will never include personal health information.
Why do I get text notifications?
We’re making staying on top of your health easier than ever. From appointment reminders and medication updates to important billing notices, you’ll get timely updates sent straight to your phone.
Where can I update my personal information?
Log into MyChart and go to Menu > Personal Information under Account Settings to update your contact details.
Is MyChart secure?
Yes. We take your privacy seriously. MyChart uses secure login credentials, multi-layered authentication, and encrypted technology to keep your health information protected.
What is proxy access?
Proxy access allows a parent, guardian, or trusted caregiver to view and manage a loved one’s MyChart account securely.
