Medical School: A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Suzuki, born and raised in Japan, came to the United States when he was at the age of 15 as an international high school student. He studied Biology at the University of Portland in Oregon, then received his Master's in International Public Health at the University of Sydney in Australia. He worked as a humanitarian aid worker through non-governmental organizations and the United Nations, stationed in various developing countries including Liberia, Sudan, and Zimbabwe. Following his passion to become an osteopathic physician, he attended AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2015. He completed his family medicine residency program through the Wright Center National Family Medicine Residency Program in 2018, trained at FQHC in Washington DC, and Tucson AZ, and was a chief resident.

He is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. His current role at Unity Health Care includes the Associate Program Director for the Wright Center National Family Medicine Residency Program at Unity Health Care training site, an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona DC CHC site, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at George Washington University Department of Medicine. He provides comprehensive osteopathic medical care to his patients at Parkside Health Center as well as the Department of Correction. He is passionate about promoting Osteopathic Medicine to the next generation of physicians and currently precepts the resident OMT clinic. He completed an Acupuncture for Physicians course and is a certified acupuncturist in Washington DC In October 2023, he obtained Certified Correctional Health Professional - Clinical Provider (CCHP-CP) status by NCCHC (National Commission on Correctional Health Care).

Residency: Georgetown University Providence Hospital Family Medicine Residency

Medical School: Georgetown University School of Medicine

Dr. Lawrence is a board-certified family physician, Associate Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and core faculty in the National Family Medicine Residency at the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Washington, DC. Dr. Lawrence provided full-service Family Medicine, including obstetrics for more than twenty-five years. She now teaches family medicine residents and upper-level medical students at Parkside Health Center. Dr. Lawrence was a two-term member of the AAFP Commission on the Health of the Public and Science, a liaison to the ACOG Committee on Adolescent Health, and a member of the Department of Health and Human Services SAMHSA Workgroup on Prevention, Screening, and Treatment of Adolescent Suicide.

Interests include: When not supporting her children in Boy & Girl Scouts, Cecchetti Ballet, Varsity Volleyball, and LKM Kopelles Junior Sorority, you will find Dr. Lawrence planning, cooking, or crafting for some special event on the horizon. She also loves to travel, especially with her family in tow.

Medical School: UNTHSC - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Whyne was born in Lahore, Pakistan, and raised in Dallas, Texas. She studied neuroscience at Baylor University and then went to medical school in Fort Worth, Texas. She got involved in women’s reproductive health care and advocacy in medical school, which led her to find a perfect match in our residency program here at Unity Health Care in Washington, DC. She completed the GW Residency Fellowship in Health Policy during her second year and spent time advocating for family medicine and teaching health centers on The Hill. During residency, she also focused her training on family planning and abortion care. Dr. Whyne is board-certified in both ABFM and ABOFP. She practices osteopathic manipulation and precepts the resident OMT and continuity clinics at Parkside.

Interests include: Reproductive health care, advocacy, adolescent medicine, traveling, baseball, basketball, and ice hockey.

Residency: University of Virginia Family Medicine Residency

Medical School: Howard University College of Medicine

Dr. Lynch-Jiles is a board-certified family physician passionate about Maternal-Child Health. She was born and raised in Washington, DC, and received her B.A. from the University of Virginia in 2006. She spent the next 5 years pursuing her non-medical passions, first serving as a lead singer with a Christian touring band, and then working as a math and reading tutor at a local elementary school. She enrolled in Howard University College of Medicine, where she received her medical degree in 2015. She then obtained a Master of Public Health degree, with a concentration in Community Health and Health Behavior, from the University at Buffalo in 2016. In 2019, she completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Virginia.

That same year, she joined Unity Health Care, where she has been practicing full-spectrum Family Medicine, with a concentration in Obstetrics and Pediatrics, ever since. Dr. Lynch-Jiles serves as Physician Lead for the Department of Family Medicine-Obstetrics and Team Lead for her Family Medicine clinical care team at Unity. In 2022, she joined the Core Faculty for the Wright Center National Family Medicine Residency Program, as the Maternal-Child Health Curriculum Director. In this role, she precepts Parkside resident clinic, delivers monthly didactics on OB and Pediatric topics, manages resident involvement in the Centering Pregnancy national group prenatal care program, coordinates resident continuity delivery, prenatal care, and GYN procedural training, and organizes the GYN rotation.

Interests include: maternal and child health, women’s health, teaching, medical missions; singing, traveling, action movies, and going on walks with husband and son.

Dr. Taskier is a board-certified family physician, born and raised in Washington, DC. She received her B.A. in anthropology and community health from Tufts University in 2010. She spent 5 years working in global maternal health program management before medical school. She received her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine. In 2022, she completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Family and Community Medicine Residency in Philadelphia, PA. Following her passion for policy, advocacy, and public health, she completed a Health Policy Research Fellowship at the American Board of Family Medicine and GW. During her fellowship, she worked on the Initiative to Strengthen Primary Health Care in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) within Health and Human Services.

She joins Unity Health Care to practice full-spectrum family physician and as core faculty with the Wright Center National Family Medicine Residency. In this role, she leads the health policy, advocacy, and community-oriented primary care curriculum for our residents and is an FM-OB preceptor. She also works as the medical director of the Title X program where she leads quality improvement efforts related to sexual and reproductive health and oversees the grant.

Interests include: health policy and advocacy, behavioral health integration, maternal health, sexual reproductive health, cervical cancer screening, quality improvement, policy research, cooking all different kinds of cuisines, weaving, hiking
