Hepatitis Initiative

The Hepatitis Initiative provides comprehensive prevention education, treatment options and community awareness on Hepatitis to residents of the District of Columbia.

Through the coordinated outreach activities, health education sessions, hepatitis screenings, care services, entitlement assistance, community events and policy education the programs helps to address the ever growing need for services that will help to eradicate hepatitis.

In collaboration with the Addiction Prevention Recovery Administration (APRA), DC Department of Health (DOH), Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) Halfway Houses, Court Services Offenders Supervision Agency (CSOSA), Community Partnership to End Homelessness, Faith Based Organizations and other community services agencies the Hepatitis Initiative works to assist clients at risk for exposure to hepatitis and provide prevention activities that will help clients with behavior changing options.

Unify offers services within area halfway houses and within Unity’s First Street Health Center.
